Finance and Administrative Services Hosts Employee Summer Fair

Last week, Finance and Administration Services held its annual FAS Employee Recognition Luncheon to give our division employees the opportunity to gather over a wonderful meal, catch up with colleagues, and appreciate all the work we each do every day at CSU San Marcos.

Our C3 team did a wonderful job hosting this year's event.
Well over a hundred FAS employees stopped by to enjoy BBQ
and dessert with colleagues.

The Communication team displays its Scratch-n-Sniff popcorn feedback board. Fun!

This year’s event was hosted by the FAS Culture Change Champions (C3), a great team that has been working behind the scenes for several months to develop initiatives inspired by the recent Great Colleges to Work For Survey.

The C3 team developed a fantastic Summer Fair theme with booths focusing on Communication, Networking, Training/Professional Development, and Recognition.

The Networking team came prepared to receive lots of great employee feedback.

At each booth employees played games, learned more about the C3 initiatives, and gave valuable feedback on how we can continue to make our division and our campus a wonderful place to work.

Employees loved being silly in the photo booth.

Of course, no summer fair is complete without treats! After a delicious BBQ lunch (featuring tri tip and some of the best cornbread in the state, thanks to our talented caterers) employees enjoyed popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, and more, followed by an opportunity raffle with great prizes.
Just a few of our awesome Facilities team members
enjoying ice cream and treats.

Many hands contributed to making this event a success, and I’d like to thank the VPFAS and C3 teams for the hard work and creativity that turned their vision for this year’s annual event into a fun and exciting reality.

Employees gather around the Professional Development booth for a
chance to win tickets for the Opportunity Raffle.

And again I’d like to thank each FAS employee for the part you play in representing our division and our University. The work you do matters in the lives of students and throughout our community, and I am proud to lead such a great team.
